Job Summary
Field Professional-LWD role performing on-site supervision of the Logging-While-Drilling process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation and QC, and delivery to customers. Acts as a second man in a subordinate role while assisting in data accuracy, timely reporting, and communication of results. Provides technical consultation on mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics; tests tools before/during/after jobs; identifies and corrects operational problems to minimize service impact; interfaces with the Directional Driller to ensure BHA compatibility and proper tool references; participates in performance-improvement initiatives; requires a high school diploma (3 months field M/LWD experience) with a STEM bachelor’s preferred, completion of basic M/LWD training, and possession of relevant safety certificates. Required Qualifications
- Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of three months of field experience in M/LWD
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline is preferred
- Requires completion of the basic M/LWD training program
- Must have successfully passed company tests, or met task guideline requirements
- Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards
- Must possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates
