Job Summary
Conduct load bank testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance on CAT diesel and gas generators ranging from 5KW to 2MEG. Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools like CAT ET and SIS while reading wiring diagrams and schematics to diagnose emergency repair procedures for AC/DC controls and industrial engines. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external clients. Work independently with minimal daily supervision in a safe manner, maintaining knowledge of automatic transfer switches and control logic. Requires minimum five years of heavy machinery experience and successful completion of a background check.
Required Qualifications
- CAT diesel and gas generators (5KW to 2MEG)
- Control panels and electrical distribution systems
- Perform load bank testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools (e.g., CAT ET - Electronic Technician), SIS (Service Information System), and other computer-based diagnostic tools/software) to troubleshooting issues
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards
- Knowledge of automatic transfer switches and control logic
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing emergency repair procedures of AC/DC controls
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing gas and diesel industrial engines
- Reading and understanding wiring diagrams and schematics
- Working independently with minimal daily supervision
- Working in a safe manner at all times
- Minimum of 5 years of heavy machinery
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check
- One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school
- Minimum five plus year's of CAT dealer experience
- five year's power equipment industry experience or equivalent education and experience
