Field Plant & Equipment Service Technician

Job Summary
Maintain and oversee all plant and equipment onsite at the Portland Aluminium Smelter, ensuring maintenance meets Veolia, safety, environmental, and contractual obligations. Collaborate with Operations to optimise equipment capability, utilise the internal asset management system (VAMS), manage stock and materials deliveries, work with Planning and Scheduling and external providers to monitor asset integrity, conduct routine inspections to reduce downtime, and manage resources and spares for plant operations. Must hold an HR truck licence and be prepared for a full pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol screening and National Police Clearance. Veolia’s AlwaysSafe culture is emphasized throughout.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical/mobile equipment in an industrial environment
- Current HR truck licence
- A working knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental compliance
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a high regard for customer focus and safety
- Able to work unsupervised and use problem solving skills effectively
- Technical/trade qualifications are desirable
