Job Summary
Coordinate field placement logistics and student support for the Master of Social Work Program, including arranging weekly supplemental supervision sessions and troubleshooting placement issues. Identify and vet field agencies while maintaining compliance with CSWE standards and accreditation documentation. Serve as the university representative for field placement inquiries from students, faculty, and agency supervisors. Maintain master lists of student placements and monitor field learning progress across the entire program.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited MSW program
- 2 years+ post-master's experience placing MSW students for field practicum in a university online platform
- Knowledge of academic, social work and field processes in college/university setting online
- Excellent interpersonal, written and communications skills
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar) to improve productivity, streamline communication, draft content, summarize information, and support day-to-day administrative tasks
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate tact and diplomacy, and maintain an elevated level of confidentiality
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and work under pressure
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the practicum and supplemental supervision needs of field placement/internship students who live in a variety of time zones nationally, internationally and on military bases
- Strong competence in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, Data Collection/Analysis, and Sonia
- California residency
- Travel within California approximately 1-4 times a year
- Subject to a background check and a criminal history review
