Job Summary
Manage a team of 5-10 Channel Developers to drive commercial performance for a large portfolio of spirit brands in target on-premise accounts. Enforce legal and marketing code guidelines, hire/onboard/coach local staff, plan and track commercial opportunities using performance data, and maintain regular client/distributor engagement. Oversee budget responsibilities (including T&E), lead initiatives on category knowledge, POS management, programming, and market insights, and ensure local reporting. Cultivate opportunities within the market, travel within the territory to mentor direct reports, and drive team culture and retention. Required: 4-year college degree (or equivalent) in Communications/Marketing/Business, 5+ years bev-alc experience, 2-3 years of people management, strong customer relationships, budget management,ability to travel and work odd hours; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus. Remote work capability and nights/weekends travel may be necessary; located in Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- College degree (4-year) or B.A./B.S. equivalent with focus on Communications, Marketing or Business
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the bev-alc industry
- 2-3 years people management experience preferred
- Knowledge of liquor laws, regulations, and rules
- Proven strong customer relationship experience
- Strong budget management skills
- Ability to work remotely
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel on an ad hoc basis including nights and weekends required
