Job Summary
Field Payroll Specialist responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll for 600+ employees across multiple companies, prioritizing and processing all timecards, corrections, and adjustments from field locations; ensuring accurate payroll checks delivery; handling manual layoff/termination/adjustment checks; processing transfers and cost transfers; maintaining payroll-related reports and compliance with state and federal regulations; setting up garnishments and third-party payments; assisting with month-end close and providing training to subordinates; leveraging in-house software and Oracle, with strong MS Office skills; committed to accuracy, compliance, and providing clear payroll reporting for state, federal, union, or corporate needs;従 throughout a general indoor work environment with occasional site considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ work experience in payroll, preferably with a union employer
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and in-house payroll software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
