Job Summary
The Field or Construction Engineer at Schnabel Engineering will be responsible for acting as the central point of coordination between the Resident Engineer and inspection staff, ensuring all parties are knowledgeable about project status and compliance with contract documents. The role requires strong expertise in Document Control, proactive risk mitigation, and effective communication skills to support field inspectors. Ideal candidates will possess a BS in Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, familiarity with CMIS platforms, and demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position as a Construction Engineer or Field Engineer
- 5+ years of experience using a CMIS platform
- OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- P.E. or CCM certification
- Experience using e-Builder, Procore, or similar CMIS platforms
- Experience as a workflow coordinator
- Experience mentoring inspection staff
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check including criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
