Job Summary
Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair pipelines, compression, and measurement facilities while performing pipeline patrols and monitoring activity to protect system integrity. Manage minor and major maintenance on engines, compressors, flares, and separators; respond to emergencies and execute cleanup and corrosion control activities. Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements including OSHA, DOT, and EPA, documenting all tasks and performing integrity management on oil or liquids pipelines. Work independently as a liaison between Summit Midstream and outside entities such as landowners, emergency response agencies, and contractors. On-call responsibility for assigned areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 5 or more years of general pipeline experience in the natural gas industry
- related experience in similar industry
- Knowledge and experience with line location equipment and techniques
- Experience with hand tools as well as specialty tools
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of mechanical equipment
- good verbal/written communication skills

- Ability to read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets
- Proven knowledge and understanding of procedures used to safely pig pipeline, i.e. launching, receiving and inspection
- Knowledge of liquid handling equipment, pigging facilities
- Knowledge to conduct pressure surveys on gathering lines and central delivery points
- Experienced in monitoring natural gas quality using sampling equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record
- Demonstrate the ability to operate off-road vehicles safely
- Willing to work at more than one specific station
- Above average physical mobility to enable access to elevated height areas via stairs or ladders

- Inspect, maintain and repair as needed all facilities as assigned, including but not limited to pipelines, compression, and measurement facilities
- On-call responsibility for areas of responsibility as needed
Desired Qualifications
- technical certification or equivalent training in mechanical environment or energy related field
- HS diploma or equivalent, technical certification or equivalent training in mechanical environment or energy related field preferred
