Job Summary
Field Operator (Associate, I, II) at Colonial Pipeline Company. Responsible for monitoring pipeline systems, performing inspections, launching/receiving internal tools, and performing minor maintenance. At higher levels, may guide junior team members, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure safety/regulatory compliance under 49 CFR 195.501(b). Requires strong safety mindset, ability to work flexible shifts, and willingness to complete NexGen/NexOp training and operator qualifications; physical ability to work indoors/outdoors, lift up to 25 lbs, and operate within an expansive pipeline environment. Location: Beaumont, TX. This role supports DOT-regulated operations and requires appropriate training and certifications; DOT-related testing and regulatory adherence are noted. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- NexOp Program completion
- NexGen Training Program participation
- Ability to work 8- and 12-hour rotating shifts including holidays and weekends
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Live within 60-minute commute from designated work location
- Ability to work with multiple consoles (NexOp Skill Set I-III; IV)
- HAZWOPER, forklift or fire training (preferred)
- Experience with HMI systems and batch scheduling (preferred)
