Job Summary
Conduct safe, efficient, and reliable operations of the bio-diesel refinery while ensuring KPI targets are met. Troubleshoot operational issues promptly with the Team Leader, coordinate with maintenance, HSE, quality, and tank operations, and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out per schedule. Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including quality logs, verbal handovers, and incident reporting on the SHE app, while strictly adhering to HSEQ compliance and safe systems of work. Perform lab analysis as required for effective process control. Work a 4 on, 6 off, 12-hour shift system including 2 days and 2 nights.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of chemical process operations, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with process equipment (pumps, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, etc.) and their operation.
- Experience managing the Safe System of Work
- Understanding of SHE legislation
- GCSE's minimum grade 4 in Maths and English
- NVQ 2, or equivalent in process, electrical, mechanical or similar
- Oil, gas or chemical industry operational work experience
- Experience of working in an Industrial setting with good safety practices
