Job Summary
Hybrid Field Technician supports both the beginning and end of the residential solar installation pipeline by performing site assessments prior to installation, inspections post-install, and other lone worker and team field work as needed. Responsibilities include visiting customer homes to collect measurements, photographs, and data; assessing roof conditions and electrical service panels; climbing ladders and inspecting attics; submitting survey data via mobile tools; performing post-installation inspection readiness checks; ensuring installed systems meet workmanship, code, and safety standards; collaborating with install teams and project managers; documenting inspection readiness; discussing systems with AHJ and customers; scheduling inspections; following intraday schedules across multiple locations; maintaining tools and safety equipment; representing the company professionally in customer interactions; and being available for occasional weekend/holiday work and travel between job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- PV design experience or PV installation or PV electrical experience preferred (reading blueprints/plans, testing wiring, NEC knowledge) with minimum of one year field construction experience preferred
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, measuring devices, and mobile technology
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Must be 21 years of age with valid driver’s license and clean driving record
