Field Operations Technician

Job Summary
On-site installation, repair, and testing of MACD on telecom equipment (Nokia, Infinera, Ciena) with a focus on restoring and maintaining customer services across North America. Perform installation, repair, configuration, and testing of circuits; diagnose and implement solutions; run new cable and replace hardware; ensure safety standards are met; maintain customer trust through proactive, professional service and effective de-escalation. Requires strong field experience, ability to work independently, and travel with a company vehicle to install and service copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment; OTDR testing and cross-functional collaboration to support internet, voice, and data services.
Required Qualifications
- Five plus years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment
- Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills
- Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred
- Ability to travel with a company provided vehicle
- Willingness to work in varied environmental conditions and physically capable of the job duties
