Job Summary
Field Operations Supervisor in Vancouver, WA responsible for managing all MetroNet outside field operations in the assigned area to ensure timely completion of premise installation and repair, overseeing hiring/training and career development of field technicians, managing tools/test sets and inventory, developing training curricula, enforcing safety programs, monitoring individual performance for quality and customer experience, coordinating installation activities with contractors, supporting hub-site planning/maintenance with video and facilities engineering teams, ensuring regulatory safety/compliance (OSHA, NESC, NEC), and maintaining outage readiness and proactive maintenance. The role also involves QC surveys, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring effective collaboration with engineering teams for hub site planning and electronics maintenance. Requires knowledge of outside plant construction, installation/maintenance of inside wiring, competency with diagnostic tools, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint; strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of cable franchise management
- Knowledge of economic development
- Proven outside plant construction knowledge
- Hands-on experience with the installation and maintenance of customer inside wiring
- Ability to use a spectrum analyzer, OTDR, and other fault diagnosis tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to model respect for others, listen well, and encourage others
- Strong problem-solving orientation with facts and goal-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and customer-service orientation
- Public safety relations experience and compliance with safety regulations
