Field Operations Specialist - Human Services Program - Brownsville, Texas

Job Summary
Conduct assigned in-person field visits within an assigned geographic region to verify participant residence and document safety and wellness indicators. Identify and record household contact information using approved mobile tools, then coordinate with supervisors, dispatch teams, and quality review staff. Complete visit documentation, reports, and data entry in a timely manner while escalating safety concerns or reporting risks per established procedures. Maintain accurate records including travel logs and case notes, and adhere to all field safety, communication, and situational awareness protocols. Perform additional duties as assigned, including follow-up visits and address verification activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in field operations in related area such as human services, community outreach, case management, investigations, residential/community visits, or similar work
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to meet company travel and motor vehicle requirements
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in fast-paced field environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare accurate, objective, and timely documentation and reports
- Proficiency using smartphones, tablets, GPS/routing tools, Microsoft Office, and electronic documentation systems
- Strong problem-solving, and situational awareness skills
- Ability to carry required equipment and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to complete required federal, client, and company training prior to assignment
- Ability to pass and maintain a government security background investigation, including a favorable credit check
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to travel domestically on short notice and on a frequent basis via air and/or ground transportation, including overnight travel when required
- Must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport
- Must be able to travel frequently on short notice, including evenings, weekends, and overnight assignments
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on various surfaces
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, public administration, emergency management, or a related field
- Experience conducting residential visits, field-based assessments, or community outreach activities
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Training or experience in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, crisis response, mandated reporting, safety planning, or similar practices
