Job Summary
Manage and coordinate daily field operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of outside plant field technicians for customer service installations, testing, activations, and troubleshooting. Oversee customer orders from readiness through activation completion while monitoring progress and escalating issues affecting timelines. Conduct site visits to verify work quality, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Coach and train field technicians on installation, equipment, and fiber issues while establishing clear expectations and accountability. Coordinate activities with Service Delivery, Engineering, the Network Operations Center, vendors, and partner carriers to support network maintenance and service restoration. Identify process improvements for technician utilization and turn-up timelines. Requires 2+ years in telecommunications, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in field management software.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the telecommunications or related industry
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, equipment, and technologies
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using field management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel as needed
