Field Operations Lead - Disaster Relief

Job Summary
Lead field operations for disaster relief across domestic and international deployments; oversee real-time operational activities, coordinate field efforts across disaster zones, and support global and domestic church engagement. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating humanitarian projects, leading field operations and real-time communications among responders, churches, HQ, and leadership; developing relief logistical locations; training and connecting local church response teams; recruiting and mentoring Advanced Lead Team members and certified responders; mobilizing and deploying resources; building partnerships with churches, NGOs, suppliers, and local organizations; collaborating on response updates, promotional content, and public speaking engagements across the US and internationally. Requires highly developed logistics, crisis management, cross-cultural collaboration, and leadership capabilities; regular travel to crisis zones and remote work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent level of experience, training and education
- 5+ years field operations, disaster relief or related humanitarian experience
- Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary team management and cross-cultural contexts
- Strong logistics, crisis management, and organizational skills
- Familiar with systems for crisis monitoring and response coordination
- CPR/First Aid or equivalent certifications preferred
- Ability to travel frequently, including to crisis zones
- Ability to work remotely effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work regular business hours with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and additional hours during active response operations, including participation in an on-call rotation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, create timelines and meet project deadlines
- Experienced using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) including collaboration applications (Teams, etc.)
- Bilingual: ability to speak, listen, read, and write fluently in Spanish is preferred
