Job Summary
Own the operational ramp of new deployments, transforming freshly installed sites into smooth, predictable operations. Investigate every hour of below-goal performance, tracing throughput gaps and downtime to concrete root causes. Lead on-site teams to design fixes and engineer the physical environment, optimizing robot placement and material flow to maximize uptime. Diagnose machinery issues, build operational dashboards, and develop Standard Operating Procedures for steady-state execution. Travel extensively to customer sites, frequently 50% of the time, to support 24/7 operations and drive accountability across multiple concurrent deployments.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in operations
- track record of standing up new sites, lines, or deployments
- Demonstrated root-cause rigor
- Hands-on comfort with machinery, automation, or robotics
- Experience optimizing physical workflows
- Proven ability to lead and rally on-the-ground teams under pressure
- Strong project management skills
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites (frequently 50%+)
- Willingness to occasionally work irregular hours to support 24/7 operations
- Need to be located near a major US airport
- willingness to relocate to San Francisco, CA
