Job Summary
Oversee safe, profitable execution of construction and field operations across renewables, utilities, and pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and schedule. Lead workforce planning, forecasting, and compliance in union and multi-state environments while driving a zero-incident safety culture. Optimize equipment utilization, capital planning, and supply chain logistics to support operational excellence. Develop and mentor field leadership, building a strong succession pipeline and strengthening relationships with clients, agencies, and industry partners. Collaborate cross-functionally to align operational priorities with business growth objectives and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Based in Sacramento or San Diego, this role reports to the VP & General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, utilities, or energy sectors
- 10+ years in senior leadership roles with strategic oversight responsibilities
- Proven experience scaling operations across multiple regions or states
- Executive presence with strong influence and leadership credibility
- Deep expertise in union environments and workforce management
- Strong knowledge of utility, renewable energy, and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Experience with process improvement and organizational change initiatives
- High-level financial and operational acumen
- The position will be based in either Sacramento or San Diego
