Field Officer

Field Officer responsible for on-site, hands-on activities across the North and West of Victoria, including routine and emergency patrols of transmission lines and easements, vegetation risk assessments, contractor audits for HS&E and quality compliance, and engagement with landowners to maintain safe clearances around assets. Responsibilities include organizing external contractors, assisting the Transmission Vegetation Operations Lead with task allocation and contractor performance, interpreting Lidar data to prioritise work, performing minor environmental works with tools and equipment (hand tools, herbicide applicator, chainsaws), and supporting emergency response efforts. Requires travel, a Victorian driver’s license, and work across multiple locations with a home depot in Thomastown. Desired qualifications also include experience in utility industry and tree assessment, plus strong computer skills and the ability to work with local decision making and stakeholder negotiations.
