Job Summary
Operate mobile equipment including excavators, loaders, and skidsteers to feed portable plants with raw materials and stockpile materials around the plant area. Use machinery to regulate flow, quality, and size of materials moving between conveyors, crushers, and screens. Inspect and dismantle machines to locate malfunctions, repair and replace defective parts, and weld or fabricate equipment as needed. Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment and maintain daily production reports while keeping work areas clean and tidy. Travel to various Kentucky locations to process raw material through slag processing plants. Valid Class A CDL with air brakes required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills
- Knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment and crusher plant
- Knowledge of crushing, screening, belts and conveyors
- Knowledge of materials and specification requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of or under equipment
- Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Valid Chauffeurs license or CDL class A with Air Brakes license or the ability to obtain one
