Job Summary
Operate mobile equipment including excavators and loaders to feed portable plants with raw materials. Inspect and dismantle machines to locate malfunctions, then repair and replace defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment. Stockpile materials around the plant area and use machinery to regulate flow, quality, and size of materials moving through conveyors, crushers, and screens. Maintain daily production reports and keep the work area clean and tidy. Weld and fabricate various equipment and parts as needed. Valid Class A CDL with air brakes required; ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and climbing. Hourly pay range $40-50.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills
- Knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment and crusher plant
- Knowledge of crushing, screening, belts and conveyors
- Knowledge of materials and specification requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of or under equipment
- Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Valid Chauffeurs license or CDL class A with Air Brakes license or the ability to obtain one
