Job Summary
Operate mobile equipment including excavators and loaders to feed portable plants and stockpile materials. Use machinery to regulate flow, quality, and size of materials moving through conveyors, crushers, and screens. Inspect and dismantle machines to locate and correct malfunctions, then repair and replace defective parts. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and plant while welding and fabricating various components. Maintain daily production reports and keep the work area clean and tidy. Travel to various Levy sites to process raw material through slag processing plants. Requires valid CDL Class A with Air Brakes license.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills
- Knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment and crusher plant
- Knowledge of crushing, screening, belts and conveyors
- Knowledge of materials and specification requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of or under equipment
- Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Valid Chauffeurs license or CDL class A with Air Brakes license or the ability to obtain one
