Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy equipment while maintaining, rebuilding, and testing diverse construction machinery. Dismantle and reassemble equipment using specialized tools, repair major components in engines and transmissions, and apply welding, brazing, and fabricating techniques for modifications. Assess parts for wear, document work orders and time sheets, and utilize mobile mechanic truck cranes and rigging applications. Requires Class A or B CDL, 5+ years of experience, and ability to work extended hours outdoors in strenuous conditions. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or equivalent
- Class A or Class B CDL
- valid Medical Card per DOT standards
- Ability to manage personal tools and parts inventory
- Proficiency in safely operating and diagnosing various equipment
- Strong comprehension of technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, smartphones, and iPads
- Proficiency in Web based parts catalogs and ordering
- Eagerness to learn
