Job Summary
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on construction equipment, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to determine root causes. Perform on-site repairs and overhauls to ensure prompt resolution, ordering and replacing defective parts while documenting all repairs for future reference. Collaborate with crews and operators for technical support and training, communicating equipment status and repair timelines to project managers. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and generate reports on equipment conditions to suggest proactive measures. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including conducting safety inspections and reporting violations, while performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in a related role
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
- Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach clean, and service machinery
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Desired Qualifications
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school
