Job Summary
Perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on trucks, off-road equipment, and aerial lift equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-minded manner. Conduct field repair work on fleet units, including operation tests prior to repairs, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing final operational tests to quality-check all repairs. Execute inspections and preventive maintenance on units to maximize safety, productivity, and equipment life, while performing DOT and annual safety inspections. Examine vehicles for additional safety or repair needs, maintain and repair aerial lift equipment and cranes, and perform periodic welding on equipment as qualified. Document correct mileage and hours, save and tag warranty parts, and follow work order and parts ordering procedures. This role supports CW Wright Construction's utility construction team in Masontown, WV, with a schedule requiring approximately 95% travel within two hours of the area and 5% onsite shop assistance.
Required Qualifications
- HD truck technical training or 2 years related experience
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent
- Possess a commitment to working safely
- Highly motivated self-starter with the desire to continue learning
- Engines & transmissions and controls
- Brakes and suspensions
- Hydraulics
- Various vehicles and equipment such as bucket trucks and digger/derricks
- Electrical systems on trucks and equipment
- Welding and cutting
- Ability to operate various pieces of equipment
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, push/pull, and lift /carry up to 100 lbs
- Ability to discern color
- TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately (but not limited to) 95% within 2 hours of the Masontown area and approximately 5% of the time will require onsite assistance in our shop
- Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful passing of a background check and pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Current and valid commercial driver's license is a plus (Class A or B)
- Valid medical card
- Qualified FMCSA DOT Inspector (subject to internal review)
