Job Summary
Field Measurement Technician responsible for installing, testing, calibrating, programming and maintaining electronic gas meter measurement and control devices; reconditioning meters; wiring for relays, modems, and telemetry equipment; fabricating and installing MSAs; inspecting and calibrating measurement and regulation equipment in field and shop; maintaining accurate meter shop records, inventory, and related paperwork; complying with AGA and company standards; supporting field maintenance and projects; and performing related duties such as parts ordering and site-related tasks in Anchorage, AK. Requires HS diploma/GED and 2-year degree or equivalent experience in electronic instrumentation, valid Alaska driver’s license, and Operator Qualification program completion; strong mechanical and documentation skills; safety-conscious mindset.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two year degree in electronic instrumentation or equivalent degree and/or experience
- Must possess current Alaska Driver's License
- Employment is contingent on successful completion of the Operator Qualification Program
- Ability to pass a drug, background, past employment, and driving record screening
- Familiarity with the geographical layout of Anchorage
