Field Marketing Representative

Job Summary
Manage a defined territory to achieve production and profitability goals by developing relationships with professional independent agencies. Maintain a presence in the assigned region to promote company image, prospect new appointments, and support agency growth through co-op advertising and underwriting training. Complete call reporting, execute the agency segmentation model, and gather coverage and pricing information to maintain a competitive posture. Collaborate with underwriting and other departments to address concerns, while maximizing productive interactions through pre-call planning and post-visit follow-through. Travel to offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota, and participate in state association events and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in marketing, management, or communications
- demonstrated skills in marketing, management, or communications
- Five years' experience in marketing and/or underwriting Property and Casualty insurance products, services, and/or independent agency operations
- familiarity with Mennonite/Brethren niche market
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of company underwriting guidelines
- Ability to explain the company's lines of coverage
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise sound judgment based on company policies and procedures
- Ability to work effectively with company computer systems and processing methods
- Ability to work effectively with agency management systems
- Ability to plan, organize and maintain a travel schedule
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to travel to all organization offices (including in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota)
- Ability to travel to vendor work sites
- Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise level
- Ability to remain in a stationary position
- Ability to operate a computer a majority of the time
- Ability to move throughout the office to access work materials
- Ability to move work materials weighing up to ten pounds daily
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
