Job Summary
Oversee on-site execution of residential construction projects from initiation to completion, managing daily operations to deliver homes within budget. Coordinate and supervise trade contractors and material suppliers to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and building codes. Conduct regular site inspections, manage third-party and city inspections, and promptly resolve conflicts or issues arising during construction. Effectively communicate with sales staff, homeowners, and realtors to deliver a great customer service experience. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and inspection logs, and ensure timely availability of materials and equipment. Open all homes under construction by 7:45 AM each day and secure them before leaving. Manage third-party and city inspections to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in residential construction
- Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with a wide range of individuals and personality types
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent phone etiquette
- Consistently professional in appearance, attitude, and conduct
- Demonstrated ability to secure commitments and manage expectations across teams
- Highly organized and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel locally as needed
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have current insurance coverage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Comfortable with uploading photos, editing and managing data, and using web-based construction platforms (e.g., MarkSystems)
