Job Summary
Act as the main point of contact for AmeriCorps Coaches and program sites in Philadelphia, managing onboarding, exiting, and compliance checks while maintaining electronic records. Conduct host site visits, deliver program orientations, and facilitate trainings and special events for coaches. Review applications for coach placements, cultivate new relationships with youth sports programs, and support program monitoring and evaluation through data collection and reporting. Mentor AmeriCorps Coaches and coordinate Philadelphia-based initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree, two years of nonprofit experience, and ability to travel locally and nationally. Salary range $42,000 - $48,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Must be able to work on a team
- Must be self-motivated
- Able to comfortably travel throughout Philadelphia
- Two to three years of experience working with underserved youth
- Understanding and interest in both theory and practice of sports-based youth development
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Computer literacy
- well-developed technology skills
Desired Qualifications
- equivalent work experience in nonprofit administration, operations, youth program coordination, recreation administration, or school-based administration
- experience working with remote teams
- own vehicle or public transit
- Strong connection with the youth sports community
- experience working with AmeriCorps national service federal and/or state grants
