Job Summary
Oversee overall program operations in Hirshabelle, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget while maintaining quality implementation across development and humanitarian sectors. Manage the full program cycle, including assessments, design, proposal writing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, with direct reporting to donors. Coordinate with government authorities, community leaders, and diverse stakeholders to support complex workloads in health, nutrition, education, and protection. This role reports to the Area Director Southern States & Benadir and requires a university degree plus five years of experience managing large programs in complex emergency contexts. The position is based in Hirshabelle for a Somali national candidate only. Application closes September 2, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Somali-National
- University degree in a relevant academic discipline
- Minimum Five years practical experience managing a large programme in a complex emergency context
- Experience of managing the programme cycle, including assessments, project design, proposal and report writing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
- Strong capacity to coordinate, influence and support diversified stakeholders including government authority, community leaders, implementing similar programmes and donors
- Highly developed research, analytical, monitoring and evaluation, and report-writing abilities
- Sound financial management skills, particularly in budgeting and reporting
- Practical knowledge of current thematic issues and debates in developing countries, and of the major institutional donors such as USAI/. BHA, GPE, UN, ECHO, EC, FCDO, SIDA, FFO, AfDB, WB, SIDA, DANIDA, e.t.c
