Field Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for monitoring and maintaining plant systems and equipment including balers, conveyors, motors, forklifts, wheel loaders, tractors, and trailers. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance, diagnoses defects, estimates time and materials for major repairs, and ensures safety and OSHA compliance. Responds to emergency breakdowns, inspects third-party repairs, and maintains a clean, safe work area while adhering to company procedures and production schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Three (3) or more years of mechanical experience
- Knowledge of OSHA and other state and federal regulations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends to support operations and the needs of the facility
- Knowledge of all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
