Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing machines while performing routine maintenance, welding, grinding, and assembly of metal fixtures. Conduct quality inspections by analyzing error records to remove non-conforming parts and inspect machine tools for correct operation or necessary repairs. Adhere to established safety procedures and safe work practices when handling hazardous materials, ensuring all tasks are completed independently and under pressure. Requires 2 years of experience in industrial machine setup and machining operations, including milling, flange facing, and reading blueprints.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with tools and machinery, including ID and OD mount machining- air and hydraulic driven equipment
- Experience with milling, flange facing, weld preps, cutting/beveling, heat exchanger/tube sheet, & manway machining
- Proficient in the use of shop equipment such as hoists, jigs, dies, drill presses and other machine tools
- Minimum of 2 years in industrial machine setup/operation and maintenance with an emphasis on machining operations- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively with others, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Possess strong organizational skills including attention to detail, accuracy in written reports, quick learner with demonstrated problem solving abilities
