Job Summary
Field Labourer on the GFL Industrial Services team in Trail, BC. Assist the Operator with safe unit operation, set up and control hoses for pumping water, install temporary equipment including victaulic pipe and chemical handling, participate in job-site preparation, rigging, and equipment positioning. Perform general labor duties such as truck cleaning, equipment packing, demobilization prep, and debris removal; conduct confined-space entry for debris removal and detailed cleaning. Must be able to work in varied environments, withstand outdoor conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs. Requires a valid Class 5 license, ability to travel, and after-hours availability. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, customer service, and adaptability in potentially stressful field conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license with an acceptable commercial driving abstract
- Ability to travel when required
- Flexibility to work after-hours for call outs
- Experience in varied environments (confined space, heights, noisy conditions, extreme weather)
- Swamping experience is an asset (Vacuum and Hydrovac work)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent teamwork and customer service
- Willingness to take direction and perform in stressful situations
- Self-motivated, safety-conscious and reliable team player
