Job Summary
Assist the Operator with safe unit operation, hose setup, and pump control while participating in job site preparation, equipment rigging, and safe positioning. Execute general labor duties including truck cleaning, equipment packing, debris removal, and confined space entry for detailed cleaning. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly. Valid Class 5 driver's license with acceptable commercial abstract required; reliable vehicle needed. Must demonstrate ability to work in all weather conditions, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50lbs. Flexibility for after-hours callouts is essential. Previous experience in confined spaces, heights, or extreme weather is an asset, as is swamping experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 drivers' license with an acceptable commercial driving abstract
- Reliable vehicle to get to site
- Flexibility of working after-hours for any call outs
- Previous experience working in various environments (i.e. confined space, heights, noisy and various and extreme weather conditions)
- Mining and/or oil and gas experience
- Swamping experience (i.e. Combo Vac and Hydrovac work)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to GFL clients and customers
- Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and effectively collaborate in a team environment
- Willingness to take direction and work effectively in stressful situations
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a strong work ethic and proven track record for success
- Reliable team player that is supportive of co-workers
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Successful completion of required pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
