Job Summary
Conduct new hire orientations, perform E-Verify processes, and maintain accurate employee records while entering field labor working hours. Review and reconcile project timecards, run classification and pay rate audits, and prepare position changes. Enroll apprentices in the DOL RAPIDS system, manage training logistics, and troubleshoot computer equipment. Ensure apprenticeship-to-journeyman ratios comply with signed standards and prepare reporting for IRA program compliance. Requires 2+ years in HR administration or payroll, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions while lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in HR administration, payroll processing / timekeeping or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Excellent Excel ability
- Highly organized
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Performs well under tight deadlines
- Always maintains an elevated level of professionalism
- Effective communication skills with all organizational levels
- Problem solving through face-to-face, email and phone communications
- Ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- Mobility on and around construction sites
- Occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
