Job Summary
Field Construction Laborer sought to assist all self-perform construction disciplines, including site organization and trade support. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and shop drawings; framing with wood or metal studs; hanging and finishing drywall; painting; flooring installation; building and installing casework; finishing concrete as needed; general site clean-up; conveying important site information to the Site Superintendent; regular communication with the Site Superintendent; adhering to safety policies (OSHA) and participating in safety meetings and training; participating in Good Catch and Near Miss programs; willingness to travel and work overtime and nights as necessary. Key skills include proficiency in carpentry techniques and tools, knowledge of metal stud framing and drywall installation, experience with roofing materials, various flooring installation techniques, understanding of frame carpentry principles, high urgency and prioritization, and being a team player with a positive, collaborative attitude. This role is based at BRIDGES in Wexford, PA, and involves on-site construction work.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Ability to frame using wood or metal studs, hanging and finishing drywall, painting, flooring, build and installing casework
- Ability to finish concrete as needed
- General jobsite clean-up as needed
- Convey important site information to Site Superintendent
- Communicate on a regular basis with Site Superintendent
- Follow all company and/or OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Participate in Safety meetings and training as required
- Participate in Good Catch Program and Near Miss Program
- Ability to travel and work overtime and nights as necessary
- Proficient in carpentry techniques and tools
- Knowledge of metal stud framing and drywall installation
- Experience with roofing materials and installation methods
- Familiarity with various types of flooring installation techniques
