Field Installation & Service Technician

Job Summary
Conduct daily field installations for wired and wireless systems, including Solar Surveillance Trailers and CCTV cameras, by reviewing schedules, testing products, and programming surveillance equipment before deployment. Drive to customer sites to deliver and install systems, perform site surveys when necessary, complete installation paperwork, and obtain customer sign-off while responding to operational questions. Interface with onsite customers, subcontractors, internal Customer Service, and Production departments regarding orders and installation details. Manage tools and vehicle inventory daily to ensure proper equipment for tasks and adhere to all field safety requirements. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV/Video Surveillance systems
- Intermediate understanding of computer networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, gateways, routers, and switches
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including MS Office and PC-based diagnostic software
- Strong time management, planning, organizational, and multitasking skills in a hands-on field environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal staff
- Must hold a valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including driving, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, reaching, color differentiation, and fine motor/hand dexterity
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
