Job Summary
Conduct field evaluations of existing vertical transportation systems, including elevators, escalators, and moving walks, while performing condition assessments, maintenance audits, and code compliance reviews. Document equipment deficiencies and operational performance during site visits, then prepare detailed inspection reports with technical recommendations for client decision-making. Manage your own schedule to ensure accurate, timely completion of assessments and maintain professional interactions with building owners and maintenance providers. Work in varied settings including high-rise buildings, confined spaces, and construction sites, requiring navigation of tight spaces and ability to work at heights.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of conveyance equipment installation, maintenance, and applicable elevator codes
- Prior experience in the elevator or vertical transportation industry
- Ability to work in elevated and confined environments, including high-rise buildings and elevator shafts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and inspection accuracy
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test
- The drug test includes screening for marijuana, regardless of state or local laws permitting its use
