Job Summary
The Field Inspector I role is essential for maintaining the integrity of oil and gas drilling systems. Responsibilities include conducting inspections of equipment and sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards, identifying hazards, and conducting risk assessments. The position requires proven Non-Destructive Testing experience in the oil and gas sector, knowledge of industry standards, and strong safety practice understanding. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to operate inspection equipment, communicate effectively, and work in field locations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) within the oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of industry standards and specifications (API, DS-1, and related procedures)
- Ability to set up, calibrate, and operate inspection equipment and interpret results accurately
- Strong understanding of safety practices and risk management in field environments
- Valid driver’s license (company vehicle may be assigned)
- Ability to pass annual vision and color contrast testing (corrective lenses as required)
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and client interaction
- Willingness to work in field locations, including drilling and production sites
