Job Summary
Field Inspection Technician responsible for performing engineering field inspections on water/wastewater systems, including manhole inspections, smoke testing, flow monitoring, GPS locates, and water dye testing; operate and maintain field instruments and inspection equipment; document inspections with detailed field notes; maintain safety certifications (confined space entry, CPR/First Aid, defensive driving, spotter’s training); travel up to 25% for regional projects; opportunities for career growth and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Motor Vehicle Record check required by regulatory insurance for company-owned vehicle use
- Experience outdoors in a hands-on role
- Computer literacy and ability to use field documentation software
- Previous experience in water, wastewater, or utility inspection (preferred)
- OSHA or additional safety certifications (preferred)
