Job Summary
The Field HR Specialist role focuses on tactical HR processes within the HMSHost organization, handling administrative HR duties, executing communications and deployment of corporate and local HR initiatives, supporting recruitment activities, coordinating training and orientation, and maintaining HR presence within the branch. The position involves assisting in compliance with federal/state/local laws and policies, coordinating HR investigations, supporting recruitment including postings, screenings, interviews and onboarding, managing HR records and documentation in HRMS systems, delivering new-hire orientation, and promoting positive associate and labor relations. Strong emphasis on administrative excellence, confidentiality, and collaboration with operations and HR leadership to resolve people-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-4 years of administrative experience in a Human Resources function/environment
- coursework towards HR certification or demonstrated understanding of HR best practices
- ability to speak, read and comprehend instruction/policy documents
- strong knowledge of HR technical subjects
- demonstrated expertise in preparing computer-based documents, spreadsheets and presentations
- familiarity with HRMS systems (PeopleSoft a plus)
