Job Summary
Drive recruiting strategies to build talent pipelines, assess Field Leader abilities, and lead succession planning while administering training in leadership and associate relations. Provide guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and performance management, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Ensure store environments remain safe, lead investigations into associate relations issues, and interpret HR policies to mitigate legal risks. Analyze turnover, retention, and ER trends to develop solutions that align with regional business objectives and drive customer loyalty. Travel 50% or more to regional meetings and sites to identify strengths, opportunities, and training needs. Maintain business literacy on regional financials, culture, and competition to deliver value-added partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Ability to travel 50% or greater
- Must be based in Chicago, Illinois or Columbus, Ohio
