Field Geologist/Team Lead

Job Summary
Review work plans and health & safety protocols before initiating field operations. Prepare for site work by securing subcontracts, materials, and required training. Fulfill data quality objectives for all collected samples and supervise drilling, well installations, and lithologic descriptions. Execute soil, groundwater, and waste characterization sampling per approved protocols while completing field documentation via tablet or handwritten sheets. Perform or oversee remediation projects involving chemical injections and routine equipment maintenance. Support conceptual site model development, hydrogeologic modeling, and data visualization using CADD/GIS tools. Manage project schedules, progress reports, and subcontractor procurement activities including bid tracking and scope development.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in geological sciences
- 3-5 years of collective experience
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to travel on projects throughout the United States; generally not more than 2 weeks at a time
- Must be able to pass Federal Background Check in order to gain access to project sites
- Must be able to pass DMV check and maintain acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Geologist (PG) license obtained or on track to obtain
