Job Summary
Field Evaluations Engineer responsible for independently managing execution and timely completion of engineering projects, developing UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment for complex products; applies field evaluation concepts to new or modified products in the field; strong knowledge of Building Codes and NEC; experienced with electrical testing and electrical test equipment; eight years of directly related experience; home-based with preference for Northern California; remote work option supported.
Required Qualifications
- An engineering/technology degree from an accredited university
- Eight years of directly related experience
- Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, Field evaluations, conformity standards and the NEC
- Experienced with Electrical Test Equipment
- Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or modified products in the field
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology
- Eight years of directly related experience
- Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, field evaluations, conformity standards
- Experience with Electrical Test Equipment
- Ability to manage engineering projects with minimal supervision
