Job Summary
Conduct in-person and telephone interviews with farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses to collect data for the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service. Perform crop counts in designated fields and maintain detailed records of interviews, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked. Manage Outlook email and utilize computers or iPads to deliver accurate statistics to rural communities. This part-time role offers a competitive wage of $17.75 per hour plus paid mileage, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Work from home using a personal vehicle for field travel.
Required Qualifications
- Experience multitasking in a deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions
- Ability to make crop counts in designated fields
- Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals
- Technical experience with both computers or iPads
- Ability to manage outlook email & respond timely
- Must be able to work from home
- Must be available for some evenings, weekends
- Must be willing to travel to designated fields
- Must have access to a residence with an operable telephone free from any distractions
- Must have a personal vehicle
