Job Summary
Conduct in-person and telephone interviews with farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses to collect accurate statistics on behalf of the USDA. Perform crop counts in designated fields and maintain detailed records of interviews, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked using iPads. Travel to Gaines, Yoakum, Terry, Lynn, and Dawson Counties to serve producers while maintaining a personal vehicle and operating from a residence with reliable phone access. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends, with a competitive wage of $19.51/hour plus mileage.
Required Qualifications
- Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumeration in all survey actions
- Ability to make crop counts in designated fields
- Ability to maintain a Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals
- Ability to use iPads and other electronic devices
- Must be willing to travel in Gaines, Yoakum, Terry, Lynn and Dawson Counties, plus surrounding areas
