Job Summary
Provide technical engineering information to construction and commissioning teams to ensure compliance with design intent and applicable standards. Coordinate resolution of site engineering issues by engaging with corporate engineering teams and verifying site information to reflect actual conditions. Review construction packages, specifications, and drawings upon arrival to resolve discrepancies before they impact execution. Monitor and manage contractor quality, approving Inspection and Test Plans and tracking re-work and non-conformances. Ensure Requests for Information are resolved within 24–48 hours and support project managers in preparing construction packages. Periodically inspect facilities from an engineering perspective and verify daily inspections and test results for proper record keeping.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 8–12 years of engineering experience
- Experience in industrial, mining, or construction environments
- Experience supporting field engineering activities
- Experience in construction quality assurance
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, contractors, and engineering groups
- Detail-oriented focus on quality and compliance
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings
- Proficiency in interpreting specifications
- Proficiency in interpreting QA/QC documentation
