Job Summary
Conduct routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products for laboratory customers within your assigned territory. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures while serving as the primary contact for technical and service-related issues. Perform preventative maintenance and document all activities to contribute to quality improvement and maximize customer satisfaction. This field-based role requires the ability to travel, including overnight trips, and involves on-call support after hours, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must complete mandatory training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy. The position offers a salary range of $71,000 to $132,000 based on experience and location, with a discretionary annual bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience
- Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
- The ability to travel, including overnight travel
- Reside in the territory
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry
- The ability to serve as an internal technical resource
- Provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays
- Maintain strong customer relationships
