Job Summary
Conduct routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche diagnostic products within your assigned territory. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures while serving as the primary customer contact for technical and service-related issues. Perform preventative maintenance, document all activities, and contribute to quality improvement to maximize customer satisfaction. This field-based role requires daily travel with up to 10% overnight travel. The position is located in Southern or Central, Connecticut.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience
- Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
- The ability to travel, including overnight travel
- Reside in Southern or Central, Connecticut
- 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry
- The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships
