Job Summary
Field Engineering System Engineering Manager leading a Fullerton-based team responsible for radar-related activities including maintenance, operations, modification, testing, troubleshooting, and integration at the Fullerton site and abroad. You will guide team members, develop test procedures for Improved Sentinel systems, evaluate system performance, conduct Integration & Test of radar after hardware/firmware modifications, support training and radar modification events, and coordinate hands-on operations, flight tests, and customer support. Requires developing/test procedures, coordinating with SMEs, ensuring up-to-date processes, and communicating issues to leadership. Travel approximately 20% CONUS/OCONUS; onsite Fullerton, CA. Requires university degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years (or 5+ with advanced degree) in relevant fields, and active security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- A University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 5 years of experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in System Integration & Test of hardware and software.
- 5+ years’ experience using technical manuals, interpreting product drawings and/or reading schematics as part of troubleshooting system failures.
- 5+ years’ experience working with test equipment, e.g. Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Digital Multimeters.
- Experience leading a team and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Experience with radar hardware integration, operation, test and verification.
- Knowledge of radar systems operations and maintenance, in particular Firefinder or Sentinel radars.
- CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).
- Willingness to travel to support Field Engineering efforts (CONUS/OCONUS).
- Security clearance: Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.
- This role requires security clearance on day 1 and is located onsite in Fullerton, CA.
